The MCBB is pleased to welcome Amanouil Lazar and Nancy
Cavanaugh (May) as the newest members to our ranks!
Amanouil has been breeding African Grey Congos for 10 years and
likes all kinds of birds. He has also bred canaries, eclectus, and rose
breasted cockatoos. He hails from Troy, MI.
Nancy currently owns pet birds and has raised them for over 25 years.
We'd like to extend a hand in feathered friendship and let them both
know we are glad to have them! Welcome aboard Amanouil and Nancy!
We look forward to hearing from you!

I think Spring is finally here! Yeah!! Our birds are in a full breeding
swing for the next few months.
Our Spring Expo went over without a hitch. We’re looking forward to
the Fall Expo.
Rainbow Feathers bird fair will be held on April 30th in Romulus.
There will be a few of our club members working a table to promote our
club. If you are interested in working, please contact Jeffrey Olivier.
Building alliances with other area clubs can only be a great thing in
promoting the health and wellbeing of our feathered companions and
that is, after all, the goal of all of us.
We welcome their friendship and support as much as they welcome
ours.
Sheryl~
Tips & Tidbits:
A special note from our Expo Director about the Expo:
Hello fellow club members. Spring is approaching us and we had
another great Expo with the help of all of you that participated in one
way or another. I would like to send out a special thanks to Lori,
Kristin, Sheryl, Ron, Gordon, Rick, Janet, Frank and Frank’s daughter
and niece for all volunteering their time to make the show a great
success. I hope everyone else in the club will participate in the fall
expo. In June, I will begin working on the club layout for the fall. I will
need the club to meet in August so we can email the vendors
confirmation letters, receipts and also packets to those who renewed. I
have also found ways to interface and network with most of the other
clubs. Along with the above mentioned Rainbow Feathers Bird Fair,
there is also a bird fair on May 21st, in Livonia, for the Finch and
Canary Club. Club members are requested to come and take a shift at
our table for an hour or two. I could use one or two more people to
help me as I will have birds to sell also. I’m hoping to have the same
club members fill the same positions and work the same stations at our
Expo as they did in April with the help from a few additional club
members. Because of our last minute date change, I understand that
there were conflicts for our club members involving their availability. I
assure you this won’t happen again. If you will be unable to work our
next expo, please let me know so I can make the necessary
adjustments to fill the positions you’re scheduled to fill. TOGETHER we
can make a difference.
